Kierstin Cole is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Ungovernable Magazine, where she is committed to accurate reporting, amplifying marginalized voices, and fostering a community grounded in the belief that human rights should never be politicized. A professional editor and publicist, Kierstin holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from DePaul University. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in the intersection of politics, culture, and identity, with her undergraduate research focusing on the historical roots and contemporary effects of Christian Nationalism in the United States.
An Illinois native, Kierstin has called Chicago home for over five years, embracing the city’s vibrant culture and energy. She lives with her two rescue cats, Klaus and Percy, who occasionally (and unhelpfully) insert themselves into her work and hobbies. Outside of her professional endeavors, Kierstin enjoys reading, writing her novel, and designing knitting patterns.
